Media
Overview
The Media sections on a your profile help Publishers view and manage both their direct media and any associated publisher relationships linked to their network as well as gain additional reporting capabilities.
To make this easier to understand, the page is split into two separate areas:
Owned MediaAssociated Publishers
This separation helps you clearly distinguish between media that belongs directly to your account and publishers that sit within your wider network.
Owned Media
Owned Media shows the media that belongs directly to your Publisher account.
This includes the websites, apps or profiles that sit under your own setup and are managed as your direct media.
Owned Media must be verified before it can be made active.
Use Owned Media when you want to:
- review the media connected directly to your account
- check your own verified media records
- work with media that belongs to you rather than a connected publisher relationship
Associated Publishers
Associated Publishers is where you can view and manage sub-publishers linked to your Publisher network.
This area is designed for publisher networks that need visibility of the publishers operating under their wider structure. It keeps those relationships separate from your own direct media, making them easier to review and manage.
Depending on your setup, this may include:
- Publisher Networks
- White-Label Networks
- Influencer Networks
Why the page is split
Owned Media and Associated Publishers serve different purposes.
Owned Media is for your direct media.
Associated Publishers is for connected publishers within your network.
Keeping these areas separate makes it easier to understand what you are looking at, update the correct records, and avoid confusing direct media with sub-publisher relationships.
What you will see in Associated Publishers
The exact fields shown can vary depending on the publisher type, but the most important information includes:
WIDSub-Publisher IDStatus- publisher, website or profile details
WID
WID is the website ID for that row.
It helps identify the specific website record linked to the associated publisher entry.
Sub-Publisher ID
Sub-Publisher ID is the identifier used to recognise the associated publisher and group related entries together.
This is an important value for visibility, tracking, and reporting, especially where more than one row is linked to the same associated publisher relationship.
Status
Status helps anyone viewing the page understand whether the associated publisher is currently active or not.
The statuses available are:
ActiveNot ActiveCancelled
At a high level:
Activeshows the associated publisher is liveNot Activehelps show the associated publisher is not currently active, but is still a current entryCancelledshows the entry is no longer active and is kept for reference
Cancelled entries are hidden by default but can still be viewed if needed.
Sub-Publisher Reference
At the top of the Associated Publishers area, Publisher users can set a Sub-Publisher Reference.
This tells the platform which field should be used when passing back the sub-publisher reference for tracking purposes.
The available options include:
UIDUID2UID3UID4UID5WID
This setting is important because it determines how the sub-publisher is identified when tracking links are used.
Tracking links
Where available, tracking links can be created from Associated Publishers.
Tracking links can be used for rows with a valid status. In general:
Activerows can be used for tracking linksNot Activerows can be used for tracking linksCancelledrows cannot be used for tracking links
Reporting
Sub-publisher information can also be used in reporting.
Where data is available, reporting can be broken down using:
Sub-Publisher IDSub-Publisher NameWID
This gives Publisher networks more visibility over performance at sub-publisher level.
When to use each area
Use Owned Media when you want to work with media that belongs directly to your account.
Use Associated Publishers when you want to review or manage publishers that sit within your network.
As a simple rule:
- if it is your own media, use
Owned Media - if it is a connected publisher relationship, use
Associated Publishers
Summary
The Media page gives Publishers a clearer view of both their direct media and their wider network relationships.
Owned Media helps you manage media that belongs directly to your account.
Associated Publishers helps you manage sub-publishers linked to your network.
Together, these areas make it easier to keep records organised, review the right information, and work more confidently across your Publisher setup.
